- All students progress at their own personal pace.
- A minimum time must be met before a student is eligible for promotion.
- Sensei Takahashi decides when a student is ready to test for promotion based on several criteria including, but not limited to:
- correct movement,
- understanding of the meaning of each technique or form,
- and class attendance.
